Dr. Esther (EB) Henebeng, dermatology resident at Brown University, has been a driving force in promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at both the medical school and resident levels. As the only resident member of the Alpert Medical School admissions committee, a position she has held for two years, Dr. Henebeng has played a key role in advancing diversity within medical education. Additionally, as co-president of the Brown Minority Housestaff Association, she has worked to strengthen the recruitment and retention of underrepresented residents. Her co-founding of the Skin of Color Community, a nonprofit organization dedicated to free, accessible dermatologic education to historically underserved people, reflects her dedication to patient care. Dr. Henebeng’s commitment to advocacy, leadership, and clinical excellence makes her a deserving recipient of the 4 Under 40 award.
